Brief Details of Position

To be the 1st point of contact for the duty manager / duty controller / Integral management when there is no hard services supervisor on site.

To co-ordinate the Integral engineering team via the E-logbooks system and to ensure all staff are working in an efficient and safe manner.

Reporting to the Site Operations Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Acts as a designated point of contact for the duty manager / duty controller or Integral management when there is no supervisor on site
  • Manages E-logbooks to ensure reactive and planned works are being managed and allocated to the most appropriate engineer
  • Escalates any staffing issues e.g. sickness, misconduct or safety breach to the supervisor / manager for investigation – with evidence where appropriate
  • Assesses parts / material requirements for the shift, queries supplier catalogues / websites and provides information to the supervisor for ordering purposes
  • Monitors stock levels in the central stores and queries supplier catalogues / websites to provide information to the supervisor for ordering purposes
  • Acts are a communication conduit from days to early / late / night shifts as appropriate
  • Ensures any compliance documentation required by shift team members is delivered on time and accurately
  • Self-managed engineer, to ensure KPI targets are achieved
  • The repair and servicing of mechanical & electrical (M&E) equipment / building fabric, PPM & reactive
  • Managing priorities within contract constraints
  • Installation of a wide range of M&E equipment / building fabric materials
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve set goals
  • The repair and maintenance of M&E equipment / building fabric
  • Provision of job feedback information to help desk and the hard services supervisor
  • Responding to customer needs and building relationships in a professional manner
  • Participation in standby rota for emergency calls outside normal working hours
  • Participation in the weekend and night working rota throughout the year
  • Pricing M&E / Fabric works where applicable, for small works and maintenance
  • HSE management in accordance with our quality management system and all legal and statutory requirements
  • To complete any other works as directed by line manager
  • Carry out compliance inspections as directed and accurately report findings

Paperwork to be completed as directed and in legible hand including reports, timesheets and obligations

Knowledge skills & experience
  • Qualified trades person within a relevant discipline (Electrical / Mechanical / Fabric) with a minimum of level 3 qualification
  • MEWP licence (Ideally IPAF 3a / 3b / 1b)
  • Management / Supervisor qualification
  • Legionella / L8 qualification
  • Gas Safe / F-Gas qualification
  • Multi-skilled i.e. mechanical & electrical or Fabric & M&E qualification
  • PASMA card holder
  • Extensive experience of M&E equipment / building fabric maintenance across a shift working rota
  • Experience of CAFM systems from a user perspective
  • Experience of a flexible shift pattern, encompassing early / late / night shifts, as well as weekends and on-call rotas
  • Communication by phone, email and two-way radio

  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility in jobs undertaken including those outside their core disciplines
  • Flexibility in working patterns in particular to act as cover for the supervisor / other designated senior engineer
  • Great customer service ethos to support the successful delivery of the FM contract
  • Highly skilled in maintenance practices with the ability coach and advise others on best practice
  • Positive attitude when things go wrong and the ability to find solutions to problems
  • Keeps calm under pressure and maintains a professional attitude at all times
  • Great time keeper and can manage multiple tasks at the same time
