Finance Manager

Brief Details of Position

A full time vacancy has arisen for a Finance Manager to join the team based in our Bristol office.

The purpose of this role is to assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and support the Financial Controller with all the reporting requirements of the group companies to both internal and external stakeholders.

Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Ensure the preparation of management accounts is completed accurately and timely
  • Preparing the JLL reporting information
  • Prepare US GAAP reporting calculations
  • Preparing the monthly management accounts packs
  • WIP review, maintenance and supporting control
  • Preparation and submission of the VAT return
  • Reviewing and control of the balance sheet reconciliations
  • Cashflow managements and supplier payment authorisation
  • Review of weekly debt reports and credit control monitoring
  • Production of KPI’s
  • Analysis of various data sets for reporting purposes
  • Assist with the roll out of the new Phoenix system
  • Support the SOX/GIA compliance rollout
  • Supervise a team of two and ensure tasks performed diligently, with support given accordingly
  • Assisting the Financial Controller as necessary, but in particular when they are out of the office
  • Any other reasonable tasks as and when they arise
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Accounting qualification such as ACA,ACCA, CIMA
  • Competent working knowledge of financial management
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a financial role
  • Sound level of administration and organizational skills
  • Excellent IT skills, (Microsoft excel and access)
  • Experience of and able to work to critical deadlines
  • Ability to produce concise financial reports
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements
