Integral UK takes home the gold at RoSPA Awards

The prestigious award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) was presented to Integral UK Ltd. & Halfords Plc. during a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre on Thursday 14th July. 2016 marked the 60th anniversary of the RoSPA Health and Safety awards. For 60 years, the scheme has been recognising and celebrating excellence in safety performance – longer than any other in the industry.

Formed in 1917, RoSPA has been quietly working behind the scenes to change legislation and attitudes surrounding accidents, for example the compulsory wearing of seatbelts, cycling proficiency testing etc. for nearly 100 years. Their internationally recognised awards have become the most sought after accolade by organisations from every sector, offering organisations the opportunity to prove their ongoing commitment to raising standards and to celebrate success.

Integral formed a partnership with Halfords in 2015 to provide Reactive and Planned M&E/Fabric maintenance services for all 470+ Halfords stores across UK & Ireland. The partnership has enabled both Integral and Halfords to work closely and openly together, which has vastly improved service delivery, financial visibility, and importantly, Health & Safety. This is our first joint award with Halfords and we are all incredibly proud of the achievement, which emphasises our attention to detail and our dedication to raise the standards of H&S collectively.

Allison Connick, Integral UK’s Health and Safety Director, was pleased with the recognition and spoke highly of our partnership with Halfords:

“This award demonstrates our joint commitment to continually improving the health and safety management and it’s is always a pleasure to work with clients that have the same mind-set.”

The RoSPA website describes winners as having ‘achieved a very high level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, understanding control and very low levels of error, harm and loss.’ Receiving the respected award is a great recognition of a truly outstanding achievement, and highlights our commitment to a safer workplace. We are certain that the award will boost the morale our staff and the confidence of our clients, and as a result our safety standards will continue to climb.
