M&E design & installation -'The Spark'

Integral were employed by Sir Robert McAlpine to deliver the design and installation of the M&E services on the 12 storey office development ‘The Spark’. This project is the second CAT A office block on The Newcastle Helix development alongside the previously completed Lumen Building.

This BREEAM Excellent building provides Grade A Office space that is fully British Council for Offices (BCO) compliant. Integral were engaged to work alongside the design team to develop the technical design into coordinated construction information. Early engagement enabled us to ensure the project was designed & procured in parallel as well as enabling coordination of the exposed services to be completed at an early stage.

The Helix site is fed from a dedicated energy centre providing heating & chilled water to plate heat exchangers within the ground floor plantroom and electrical supply from the site wide HV network.
