As a growing business, Integral are always looking to recruit skilled people who can help us deliver engineering excellence to our clients. While we take on many external candidates, we are also keen to develop our people and help them achieve their ambitions. Last year 15% of all vacancies within Integral were filled internally and we’re keen to increase that figure for 2019. One recent good news story illustrates how an internal hire can prove to be a win-win situation for us, the individual and the client.
Jason Close joined Integral a year ago as a Helpdesk planner and proved himself a valuable, customer focused member of the team. So when he regretfully announced that he was planning to take up a similar position elsewhere, we were keen not to lose him.
A review of his CV revealed that Jason had achieved entry level qualifications in plumbing, carpentry and fabric maintenance – but had struggled to find a suitable position. We subsequently matched him with an opportunity on an Integral client account in Cheltenham and after attending an interview, Jason secured a General Maintenance engineer position with our site based team.
What’s more, we’ll be looking at providing him with additional skills and training, to help him achieve his next level of qualifications. We’re pleased to retain a good employee, Jason is delighted to be achieving his ambitions and progressing his career, while the client will benefit from a highly personable team player with a wider understanding of the Integral business.
As a business we are increasingly investing in our people, providing training and apprenticeships, which contrary to popular belief, are not just for school leavers and young people. There is no upper age limit and we currently have a cohort of Level 5 Operation Manager Apprentices who are developing their leadership skills. Plus, with the wider opportunities afforded from being part of JLL, there has never been a better time to join Integral.
If you’d like to work for a company that we can help you develop and progress, then take a look at our Careers site. There are vacancies across the business, in engineering, administration and contract management positions.
