We are delighted to announce that Integral are teaming up with vehicle charge point manufacturer Rolec to help drive the change and power the future of electric vehicle infrastructure in the UK. As more drivers switch to hybrid or electric cars, we are seeing a rapid increase in demand for charging points at destination retail and leisure locations, large commercial and residential hubs and national car parking chains.
Thanks to Integral's expertise, existing client base and national mobile engineering workforce, we are ideally placed to provide installation and ongoing maintenance services to cater for the urgent requirement for more EV charging points. What's more we have recently become by far the biggest EV specialist in the UK and the largest installer of Rolec charging points nationwide, with a total of 51 EV certified engineers.
The latest two day training course was held in conjunction with Rolec at their official distributor Yesss Electrical's EV Centre of Excellence near Leeds. Using dedicated Rolec training rooms and equipment, our cohort of twenty electrical engineers were taken through the entire process, from initial survey to installation, covering risk assessment, method statements and full Rolec hardware training.
On completion, our twenty new EV champions were awarded their City & Guilds 2919 certification, giving us a total of fifty one EV trained engineers to date.
Steve Dickinson of Integral explains:
"We are very excited at what lies ahead and the opportunities afforded by the growth of the EV market. Our engineers are thrilled to be learning new skills and are looking forward to being at the forefront of the latest innovations in EV charging. We are ready, installation wise, to receive instructions from our clients."
Ollie Saunders, Director of Alternatives at JLL adds:
"Between Integral and JLL we already have a number of close relationships with clients who either own or operate car parks, or are building developments where they want an EV plan. In conjunction with our colleagues from Integral, the JLL Sustainability and Automotive teams are developing a complete solution for clients, providing both advice and consultation around options and usage, as well as installation and ongoing maintenance.
What's more, by teaming up at source with manufacturer Rolec, and utilising Integral's nationwide engineering workforce, we can scale this further outside our client base, as Rolec's official EV charging point installation and maintenance partner."
Tom Pollard, General Manager at Rolec EV said
"We are delighted to be teaming up with Integral and JLL. Our collaboration enables us to provide cost-effective, high-quality and reliable EV charging solutions nationwide. Together we have the expertise to help provide the technical products, skills and manpower to install EV charging points - whether that be at home, work or in public."
Declan Murphy of Yesss Electrical commented
"It has been an absolute pleasure to have supported Integral in becoming the UK's largest nationwide EV specialist. Our EV and Energy Department was created for this very reason, to help support installers through this transition into the EV sector."
