Brief Details of Position

To liaise with the Area Supervisors to ensure we provide an effective service to customers and clients, thereby ensuring that works/repairs are completed efficiently, safely, on time and within service requirements.

Main duties and responsibilities:
  • To carry out reactive repairs to a variety of different types of installations
  • Hold relevant training and certification to undertake all works
  • To be smart and courteous to our customers.
  • Taking good care of the vehicle and equipment provided
  • Ordering of the correct replacement parts in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensuring long delivery date material items are ordered immediately
  • Using Hand held tablets to receive and update jobs during the working day
  • Supervision/Escorting in respect of additional works on site ensuring full compliance with the appropriate site requirements
  • Complete any other associated task or reasonable requests by the Area Supervisors/Contracts Manager
  • General small building works
  • Replacement of door and window handles and locks
  • Minor plumbing repairs
  • Tap flushing
  • Lay replacement slabs
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Must be able to secure full MOD security clearance within 3 months
  • Previous repairs and maintenance experience
  • To be able to organise own works without intervention
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Up to date relevant industry related knowledge
  • Up to date relevant knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Customer focused
  • Willing to volunteer help
  • Adaptable & flexible approach to work requirements, willing to accept change
