The Job

Provide Caretaker services to a large Primary School in Cheetham Hill. This is a permanent full time role on set hours of 40 hours per week and 52 weeks per year. A full Job Description will be available at interview.

The Person

An individual with a good understanding of facility services with suitable experience working in a school environment or in a similar role.

The individual must be willing to undertake the numerous tasks requested by the client in a timely manner and to the standard expected.

Must have a willingness to support other members of the team and help develop mutual trust and respect with the client and contribute to a harmonious working environment.

The ideal candidate will be supportive, helpful, and flexible and possess a pleasant and friendly personality.

Brief details of the position: - Caretaker

Support and implement the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) program and complete all proactive and reactive maintenance as required.

Ensure all statutory compliance tasks are completed in the correct time frame and in accordance with the contract service level agreements.

Carry out routine, porterage and emergency cleaning tasks requested by the client effectively.

Ensure that all records are kept up to date and agree with compliance documentation

Report all incident, accidents and dangerous occurrences to the line manager.

Provide locking and/or unlocking procedures as required.

Main duties and responsibilities

To support the site team leader and cleaning supervisor in the general operations of the premises under the direction of the local manager

Carry out reactive maintenance in response to help desk requirements

Update the help desk with details of completion of PPM and reactive/proactive tasks as required.

Maintain Health & Safety records and ensure good practice

General Duties:

Implement a program for the routine, porterage and emergency cleaning tasks requested by the client and ensure they are carried out effectively.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential Qualifications:

Good understanding of general maintenance tasks with a practical approach to the role

Good understanding of H & S documentation is preferred

Essential Experience:

An individual with a basic understanding of building services and preferably with suitable experience working in a school environment in a similar role.

The individual must be willing to undertake the numerous tasks requested by the client in a timely manner and to the standard expected

Further Requirements

An Enhanced DBS clearance will be required to be undertaken at Integral’s expense.
