We were appointed to carry out the annual maintenance of mechanical building engineering services under a Measured Term Contract for Coleg Gwent in 2012 covering 7 campuses.  

The specification covers mechanical building engineering services including; heat generators (boilers); burners; flues, heat emitters (including gas fired overhead radiant and gas fired convection); heat exchange coils; hot water supply; thermal insulation; all pipework; pumps; tanks/cisterns and valves.

The contract is delivered utilising a dedicated core team to undertake the planned works with additional resources to support emergency call out and reactive works. We carry out an outstanding, responsive and flexible service which meets the objectives of the contract and to ensure in strict accordance with manufacturers’ requirements and recommendations and all legal statutory requirements are met, protecting Coleg Gwent.

Scope of works:
  • We deploy an experienced and directly employed workforce to deliver efficient PPM and reactive response
  • We empower our supervisors to communicate directly with Coleg Gwent and the engineers to provide technical support. The supervisors are utilised to support a quick turnaround in quoting small installation/project works and ensure that all work requests are met in accordance with the required specification as well as in a timely manner
  • We deploy an experienced and directly employed workforce to deliver efficient PPM and reactive response
  • The contract is fully supported by an established supply chain
  • We set measureable performance management KPIs to drive continual improvement
  • The contract is supported 24/7, 365 days a year to respond to all emergencies and we have structured business continuity and disaster recovery plans in place
  • Regular surveys are undertaken to ensure customer satisfaction and staff are rewarded for excellent service delivery
  • Integral management is on hand for technical support and advice
